Extended family shoots are a great time to get everyone together and get a whole variety of images.

At these types of shoots i generally aim for -

-10 plus poses as a whole group - candid images as well as posed looking at the camera ones
- Each smaller family together
-Each set of parents /couples on their own
-All the grandkids / cousins
- Each set of sibling children together
-Grandparents on their own
- Grandparents with all grandchildren
-Grandparents with their kids
-Grandparents with each family
- Adult siblings together
- All the girls together
-All the boys together

Depending on the size of your family, This list alone there alone might be 50 photos if you picked just one from each set/ pose.
Please keep this in mind as it may change the price of your photography package.

With extended family shoots, I find it best to get every variation of groups on the day. I then send you all of the images for you to go

through and choose which ones you then want edited. 

This then determines which package and the cost.

PREPARING FOR YOUR FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT.  

~ Outfits. It’s nice for the family to coordinate outfits if possible.

Now this doesnt have to mean matching white tops and jeans, but just colours that compliment each other.

​

It’s best to avoid clothing with big logos, texts and crazy patterns or too much black.

The best outfits are comfortable (not too formal), reflect the season and the personality of your family.  

​

Colours that always look fantastic together are -

Navy, White, light blue, mint, mustard, cream, maroon, light pink, beige, tan, brown, army green, denim etc.
